Will Clark is much more than just a prolific adult-film star. He's also a passionate activist, having organized and hosted countless fund-raisers for HIV causes, including the outrageous Bad Boys Pool Parties, which have raised more than $500,000 for charities. His current ongoing fund-raiser, Porno Bingo, may not be among his biggest moneymakers, but Clark promises the weekly New York City event is nonstop, campy fun. How is Porno Bingo different from Grandma's bingo? [Laughs] Well, it's certainly dirtier! We'll call 'B for blow job,' 'O for orgasm,' things like that. We also have guest porn stars and go-go boys each week, and the more money we raise, the more clothing they'll take off. We'll often auction off the stars' personal items, like jockstraps or underwear. The winner gets to remove them in person. You won't see that at Grandma's bingo! Is there anything that's happened at a bingo event that has made even you blush? There's always an 'I can't believe you just said that' moment. For example, at a recent event our porn star guest, Diesel Washington, talked about 'footing' in his latest movie. Um, let's just leave it at that. How much do you typically raise at the events? We usually bring in between $500 and $1,500, depending on how many people attend. During the past three years Porno Bingo has raised more than $60,000 for gay and AIDS charities. What AIDS groups have your events benefited? Visual AIDS, the AIDS Service Center NYC, Broadway Cares, Safer+Saner, Body Positive, Poz Pedalers, Strength in Numbers, Aid for AIDS, and many local clubs and groups that do education and outreach work. Over the years you've hosted numerous events benefiting AIDS agencies. Why is AIDS fund-raising so important to you? As a sexually active gay man, I'm very concerned about the health and welfare of the people in my community. Fund-raising is just my way of being a good citizen in my community. It's in my blood and my soul, and I just go with it. ---------- Tips+Tools Porno Bingo is held from 9 to 11 p.m. Wednesdays at New York City's Ninth Avenue Bistro, 693 Ninth Ave. Four rounds of bingo are held; cards are $1 each. All proceeds benefit a different charity or organization each week.
