WATCH: Half Naked Broadway Bares Highlights

Did you miss the 2015 fundraiser meets burlesque show? Check out these highlights from previous seasons!

Summer temperatures are not the only thing heating up New York City. Broadway Bares, a fundraising show hosted by Broadway Cares to raise funds for fighting HIV, is kicking off its 26th year with a fun re-imagining of daytime TV, including sexy talk shows, sultry baking, and an infomercial that you’ll actually enjoy watching.

The theme this year ("On Demand”), focuses on making television sexy again. It features a cast of 150 of New York’s sultriest men and women on Broadway, and will have a run of three shows. The production run featured two shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom, June 19th. 

 

Actress Laverne Cox featured as one of the guests for the 2015 Broadway Bares production. Cox also served as the grand Marshall of the 2015 New York City Pride parade that year.

Drag queen Bianca Del Rio in a dramatic green and black number during the 2015 production. Del Rio, a Ru Paul alum, featured as a guest for the 2015 Production which was a sexy salute to the Golden Days of Broadway.

Playwright Harvey Fierstein in drag during the 2015 production. This portion, the "show within a show" featured a pagent of showgirls in costumes designed by Tony award winner Gregg Barnes.

"Stripopoly", an opening act from Broadway Bares 20. The performance featured sexy property cards, sultry token pieces, and a strapping Mr. Monopoly.

"Shoes" took off as a meme at the end of the '00s, and Broadway Bares 19 made audience members go "Oh, my God" choreographed by award-winner Shea Sullivan.

All proceeds from go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a leading AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.
