On Saturday, Aug. 10, the stars turned out to support Project Angel Food Los Angeles, the Southern California nonprofit that delivers more than 12,000 meals a week to people living with HIV, AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses in Los Angeles county. The 2013 Angel Awards honored out Glee star Jane Lynch and Food Network staple Giada DeLaurentiis for their philanthropic dedication to supporting the HIV-positive community.
Nearly 400 guests attended the award ceremony, which included an Italian-themed dinner in honor of DeLaurentiis' heritage, a silent and live auction, and, of course, numerous awards. DeLaurentiis recieved the inaugural Iconic Chef Award, presented by actor Bryce Dallas Howard, who once employed DeLaurentiis as her family's personal chef. Lynch recieved the Marianne Williamson Founder Award, presented by the award's namesake, Project Angel Food founder Marianne Williamson.
All told, organizers estimate that the shindig raised enough money to provide more than 40,000 meals delivered to homes of Project Angel Food's 1,300 weekly clients. Click through to the following pages to browse photos from the star-studded event.
