The stigma-smashing star of Drag Race and All Stars, who's been open about her HIV status for years, is now sharing more about her identity.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 and All Stars 6 alum Trinity K. Bonet has come out as transgender. After posting a series of social media photos and videos that prompted speculation within the Drag Race fandom, Trinity has now shared a statement with Out confirming that this is a coming-out moment indeed.

Fans started speculating Trinity was coming out as trans after the former Plus cover starshared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, December 15 with a caption that included three emojis: two hearts, the transgender flag, and a happy squinting face with tongue out (see post below).

When Out, a sister publication of Plus, reached out for comment, Trinity responded with the following:

"Hey, how are you doing? Yeah, I did come out. Lol but I'm not trying to do interviews and make a big deal about it. I've always been Trinity. I'm just keeping wig on. Lol."

Best known as a lip sync assassin on Drag Race season 6, a top 5 semifinalist on All Stars 6, and a competitor at the 2024 Miss Continental pageant, Trinity had been dropping hints about coming out as trans in other posts shared over the weekend.

For instance, she shared an Instagram story on Saturday, December 14 that described "the Aquarius woman" (her astrological sign), as you can see below.

It's always lovely to see people in the LGBTQ+ community living as their most authentic selves. Congratulations are in order to Trinity!

Past seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race and All Stars are streaming on Paramount+ — and tune in to watch season 17 when it premieres Friday, January 3, 2025 on MTV.
