The T.J. Martell Foundation presents "Artworks For The Cure," a 3-day event beginning on October 11th taking place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The multi-day event, billed as a “contemporary offbeat, eclectic and sometimes irreverent charity art show,” will showcase art, live music, wine, and a host of gourmet food trucks.
The show itself will feature work from over 150 artists from around the globe, including some well known street artists, and even pieces from a handful of celebrities whom you may not even know picked up the brush. From local, self-taught CANTSTOPGOODBOY to John Mellencamp, and even John Lennon, the range of talent is remarkable. The show will also include a host of photographers, mixed media artists, and even an exhibit of graffiti art from the Berlin Wall.
In addition, Colbie Caillat will perform Saturday, where Emmy award-winning journalist and television star Mark Steines will host the Spirit of Excellence Awards Dinner. Honorees include Daniel Ek (Spotify), Rob Wells (Universal Music Group), Troy Carter (Atom Factory), and Catherine An (House of An-Crustacean and Tiato Restaurants and An Catering).
The 3 day will benefit The T.J. Martell Foundation as it continues it’s funding of innovative cancer research. The event is open to the public and tickets may be purchased online at www.2013artworks.org
