In a strange turn of events, pop star Justin Bieber’s testicles are at the center of a rather strange lawsuit involving a rumored STI and possible sexism.
According to Page Six, the singer had made an emergency visit to a Long Island clinic after a soccer injury potentially left one of his testicles twisted. Thankfully, all ended up being fine, but rumors began to circulate internally that Bieber may have had an STI.
One of the clinic’s staffer, Kelly Lombardo, allegedly heard wind of Bieber’s possible STI and decided to look into his medical file to see if it was true. She was subsequently fired as a result, but now she says none of that story is true.
Lombardo has filed a wrongful-termination claim with the New York Division of Human Rights, saying she never looked into Bieber’s medical file but was actually fired for being a woman.
“My client never accessed Mr. Bieber’s medical file,” Lombardo’s attorney, David H. Rosenberg, said to Page Six. “She was falsely accused of doing so on account of her gender,” later adding he was “looking forward to vigorously prosecuting.”
Rosenberg and Lombardo are apparently waiting for a copy of the position statement.
