Playbill and Gilead serve up a perfect activity for Thursday.
Not sure how to honor World AIDS Day? Playbill and Gilead have you covered with their production of the third annual Remember the Ribbon: A Tribute to World AIDS Day.
Taped live last month at Sony Hall in New York, Remember the Ribbon features storytellers, songs, tributes, and reflections on those affected by HIV. ABC entertainment journalist and Plus Life Media co-founder Karl Schmid serves as host, with appearances from Broadway luminaries like Carolee Carmello (1776), Anthony Harper (Kinky Boots), and with mainstays of television and film like Judith Light and Ariana DeBose (pictured above, left to right).
Bryan Campione and Leonard Rodino co-directed the show, with music by Broadway Sings.
"Playbill is proud to host Remember the Ribbon for our third year, as we continue to honor our beloved friends, members of our community, and beyond who have been affected by HIV and AIDS," Playbill Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Alex Birsh said in a statement. "We so look forward to spending the evening with GLAAD and our sponsors, Gilead Sciences and the Edison Hotel, without whom the night would not be possible."
Remember the Ribbon streams on Playbill’s website and YouTube page from Thursday to Saturday; viewers just have to make a donation to GLAAD to watch.
