Prince Harry has had quite a year.
In May the Duke of Sussex married American actress Meghan Markle and if rumors are true in June they honeymooned in Botswana and Namibia where his HIV charity Sentebale carries out much of its work. Harry then attended the International Conference on AIDS in Amsterdam (IAS) where he and Elton John announced MenStar Coalition, a global partnership aimed at researching and curbing the male transmission of HIV infections, with a goal towards “ending the AIDS epidemic as a public threat” by 2030.
The coalition was launched in honor of Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana, whom they both adored.
Then in August Harry made his theater debut on London's West End when he joined the cast of Hamilton in what was a benefit performance for Sentebale. And now according to a statement released from Kensington Palace, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
