Girl, have you seen WehoLife's new PEP video? Chock full of innuendo and chuckle-inducing animations, the "PEP Song" warns "You've got 72 hours, gurl!" to an insanely catchy tune. The video explains what Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is and how it can prevent HIV infection if started within 72 hours of exposure — all with an adorably colorful backdrop. (Click play below to put a smile on your face.)
The "PEP Song" is part of a new project by WehoLife, an HIV prevention project of Los Angeles LGBT Center and the City of West Hollywood. The project aims to promote HIV/STD testing, condom use, substance abuse reduction, and removal of HIV stigma through funny, sexy videos. Along with the PEP Song, WehoLife also released "Mother Knows Best," a video featuring drag legend Miss Coco Peru. In the future, the project will include an "Ask a Porn Star" series and videos of local LGBT comedians retelling their personal experiences with STDs.
