The fall issue of Plus is our Latinx issue, timed to National Latino AIDS Awareness Day on October 15. Our cover star, New Mexico politician Roger Montoya, is a fascinating Renaissance man and mentor to many young people. He brings his rich life experience to his work fighting for the rural residents of New Mexico, all while making history as the state's first openly gay and HIV-positive politician. Montoya's interview is available in both English and Spanish versions, as are two other stories about Latinx heroes, including a look at the promotoras risking their lives to provide lifesaving information about COVID vaccines and government assistance.
