Even if you’re not “feeling” sick, it is always a good idea to treat your HIV, experts say.
As stressed by Dr. Demetre in the latest installment of the web series #AskTheHIVDoc, “it’s not always about how you feel,” especially when you consider what could happen if you ignore your HIV treatment.
“We know for a fact that treating HIV prevents AIDS,” he says. “We also know that treating HIV prevents the complications of AIDS — which can be really devastating, and ultimately HIV meds save lives.”
Watch Dr. Demetre make the argument for never ignoring your treatment in the newest #AskTheHIVDoc episode below.
